CLARION-AHMADAH SHIPPING SETS SAILING IN KUWAIT

Kuwait – Clarion Shipping Services W.L.L, one of the largest Shipping & Logistics Companies based in the Middle East, has started its operations in Kuwait today, after inauguration by Sheikh Ali Al Sabah (Board Member Ahmadah Int Logistics) and Clarion MD, Mr Aniyan Kutty. The Kuwait operation represents the 26th country in  Clarion Shipping’s expansion plans, which started in Dubai UAE, some 12 years before.

The Joint Venture between Clarion Shipping Services LLC, Dubai and Ahmadah International Logistics Services Co. K.S.C.C, appears to be a ideal marriage. Ahmadah have a enviable reputation as a Regional Transport provider with wholly owned businesses in Kuwait, Dubai, Jordan, Sudan and Egypt (soon to be extended to KSA and Iraq) and the CLARION Group owning over 100 offices in 20 countries around the globe with a turn over in excess of US$ 150 million per annum.

With the vision to be a global company CLARION has drawn up aggressive expansion plans to be implemented during the next two years including setting up their offices in Sudan, Tanzania, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan and maximizing the synergies with the Ahmadah Group.

Warehousing clearly plays a important role in the Supply Chain these days and a 100,000 EU pallet position distribution center is being developed at Jebel Ali, and will open during 2008, to compliment the existing 160,000 sq ft operating at full capacity. Warehousing projects (Bonded and Cleared cargo) are also slated for Jordan, Iraq and Sudan during 2008.
